I'm going to be completely honest with this review. This is probably one of the worse room escapes I've ever played.
Graphics:
There were just below average. Nothing that blew me away or I thought was overly focused on. Your drawings seem distorted and feels like just thrown together at times. Take time to critqiue every drawing, goes a long way in the end.
Animation:
Probably the best part of this flash. It was smoothed and looked like real IMO. Good job on that. Just wasn't much of it. Which is ok for this type of game.
Gameplay:
This is where it fails big time. The purpose of room escapes and point and click adventures is for people to figure the puzzle out. You really shouldn't put items in places where people won't logically find or think to look. The screw driver was just placed anywhere and no poin tand time did I feel like "If i was stuck in this room, what would I do to get out." It felt like, just click everywhere because due to lack of structure and design, only way to beat this game.
What I would offer for your next project in this genre. Make it realistic. Make inventory placed in logical places, at least the first retrievable items, and make it where people actually figure out the puzzle, not just click everywhere. I think thats where most of the compliants are, not the story line (which is overused by whatever) but just for the lack creativity.
Sometimes, a hint throw in a middle will keep people interested. Honestly? This could of been done alot better if more thought was put into it. I will say that you try to be innovatitive, just wasn't pulled off very well.
Don't think I'm bashing your skills, but I figure to better you as a artists, a harsh constructive review might be in order. Good luck on future projects.
3/10 and 2/5
Author's Response:
Thanks for the criticism. I agree with a lot you have to point out... a couple of things I have in reply:
The graphics were based on actual photos. Yeah, the room actually exists. So because of lens distortion from my camera, some things look curved and parts of the photos just didn't make sense, so in some places I had to compromise. In future games I make, I'll be designing everything by hand, no shortcuts, just the way I like it.
I've gotten tons of replies about how they just can't find that screwdriver or hairdryer. I've certainly learned my lesson: Never make anything necessary to click completely or near invisible. I thought I did okay avoiding "pixel hunting," and even though I had gotten commentary about this from my friends who tested it, I went though with it anyway. I got so excited about making my first game and letting everyone play it on Newgrounds, I utterly failed at realizing that there was so much I could have changed.
But hey, it's my first submission. I hadn't known a lot of things until all these comments came flooding in; I don't think anyone can get something 100% spot on on their first try. I'm thinking of new ideas for my next point-and-click game, and I will most certainly take into account all the suggestions and critique everyone's given me, which I'm incredibly thankful for.
So once again, thanks kidray76, as well as everyone else who's talked to me about this. Your "harsh constructive review" was definitely in order.

"Noticing a trend of these guides ....."
However, I will rate this solely on this guide.
Appearance. This guide is one of the first I've seen where text AND background was appealilng, easy to read, and not competing with each other. Music was a nice blend to keep me reading and I wasn't trying to figure out what you were trying to convey. The down side, the text on the buttons were a bit faded out and had trouble reading what they said. I would suggest darkening them or bring out the darker grey for visibility.
Information. Great, as usual. This guide is pretty much just for beginners. I really don't see this helping people who know a little about the system. So if I was a new comer to the site, this would help me. Definetly. However, a season vet would pass over this considering it's the basics.
And again, not sure why this item about flagging always gets left out. You still didn't mention ANYTHING about chain reviews, links promoting outside sites. Also suprisingly, you didn't mention anything about text flooding. You put in there with the first example, but you didn't take the opportunity to explain. So basically, left out one of the most common reasons why stuff gets flagged.
Last, gonna tell you like I tell everyone else, poke around people's userpages to find FAQ's. The more you add the better. In all, alot better comparitively. Thumbs up for approval. And given who you geared this FAQ towards.....
Another 8/10 and 5/5. If you do just a little more refining, I think you'll be able to get over that 8 hump lol.
Author's Response:
Whoops, I tried to cover as much as I could think of, guess I missed those. I'd go back and edit it but my fla got replaced with a blank one so I can't edit anything about this now, which is a shame because I know the buttons seem to be too light for some, sorry about those, lol.
And well, I just wanted to try making my own guide which is why I did this one, thanks for the review ;)

"Solid Attempt that needs refining ..."
First, going to judge the flash on appearance and going to be honest with this whole review.
The background and text clashed with each other. After a while, background stand out so much that hard to read the text and keep focus. Might want to focus on appearance in upcoming projects so the attention won't be taken away from the meaning, but at the same time, people will stay interested. Like having white text on a black background, yeah, everyone can read it, but so dull no one is going to read. On the same token, a flash background or bright background makes takes away from a text. Just felt like both were competeing for attention. And adding the flash textt for the quiz just felt like a brawl.
I would suggest choosing a mild, but intersting background that compliments the text.
Ok, for the actual content. I'll start with pre quiz. Nice content, very basic, and easy to understand. Just thats all it is. Basic, should go into more details about types of reviews. You didn't mention anything about chain reviews, links promoting outside sites, or just links in general.
As for the quiz (thx for the shout out ;P)
1. Question 6. I wouldn't use that as an example, basically that can be considered insulting the artists. So that is questionable, and the deragotory language is frowned upon most of the time.
2. Question 8. I think you worded it the wrong way. A point is a point, so one positive point is equal to one negative point. I think you ment to say, "A deleted review is gained less positive whistle points than a cleared review with negative whistle points. Same with flash entries.
Overall solid attempt, lacking finer details and visuals, however still good job. Pretty sure alot of new comers are going to find this helpful. Also, might want to poke around for alot more faqs on people's userpage. But ....

Author's Response:
A review mod's review. The most important one of all.
Anyway, you made some excellent points there, and I guess the questions could have been better phrased.
In my desperation to liven up the background, I may have made it difficult to read, sorry about that.
Thanks for a great review (and you are welcome for the shout-out :P)

Really hard to tell what to improve on since it was made to be random.
Only down side is some of the outlines were a little too thick, later on they clashed with the later parts of the movie that were thinner.
Overally, funny. Be nice to add a little blood for the guy at the end. Bang his head on the wall or something lol.
Good flash and keep up the insanity :)
Author's Response:
We'll see what comes into my head in the future. The head banging idea sounds awesome! :D
Oh, and I know about those outlines. Seems like alot of people didn't like them! >.<
Well, I'll try not to have them so thick, next time. :)
Thanks for the great review!

"Reminds of some of my halo 3 matches."
Hopefully my tournament won't be like that tonight lol. Seriously, probably the funniest fan boy flash I've ever seen made. 10/10
Anyone that disagrees, come answer to me and Mechabloby. I got my BR and frag grenade ready.
Author's Response:
Nah. If your tournament was like that, you have to admit, it'd be pretty fucking awesome. And I'm glad you think it's the funniest fanboy flash ever made. o:
And if people disagree, what do we tell them!? D:
Oh, sure! It's okay for you! You have weapons and stuff but I have bugger all! :'(

Alright, being that I'm actually a review mod, I would think that this would be a breeze.
The first was part of the flagging was for the most part accurate. As well as voting for the flashes to anyone who doesn't know (0, then 2-5, then whistle).
As for the actual being a review mod part, some the correct answers you had are actually wrong if they were real reviews.
1. The bots don't make reviews lol.
2. Think you might of forgot part in the rules that "reviews that offer no benefit to the author maybe deleted" Of course, that statement is sometimes more subjective (opinionated) rather than objective (based on facts). They could warrant bans also for the degree of unhelpfullness too.
I was pressing ban for some users, and my review mod stat went down. For instance, someone questioning front page. Might want to critique that a little more. And any reason why some people couldn't be banned? Also, why didn't you add any chain mail or links promting outside, unrelated websites? Hell, while I'm trying this review now i see that in nice red letters at the bottom. Surely u couldn't of forgotten that :)
Overall, solid attempt, just lacking in details. Which I guess u wouldn't know if unless u were actually one lol. So...
8/10
Author's Response:
I put bot names as reviewers just for humour, lol, none of those names are to be taken serious, hopefully didn't hit on any real names either. I forgot the rule of talking 1337 in the FAQ part of this too, maybe though, I tried to make the pointless ones look like spam reviews.
As for bans, I don't really know too much, it's all guessing for me since I have no idea what a review mod actually judges, the bans where more like a bonus or a heavy penalty, I didn't want to inculde them in all of the reviews otherwise it would be a little too easy. I was going to do a promoting one but I totally forgot same with the chain reviews, I might add them at a later date. The link was on my mind when I was finishing off but then slipped away.
And yeah, all of the review moderation part is just guess work, I made the best attempt I could at it, hopefully it isn't that bad :P
Thanks for the review.

This is definetly one of the best dress up games I've ever played. I like how you made the movie clips dragable and clickable. Must of taken a while to script them.
Graphics: Excellent, drawn beautifully and smoothly
Style: Though it is dress up, it is done really well with a twist
Sound: Good
Violence: None there, but there is weapons
Interactivity: Great, the scrolling background was great
Humor: Made me smile to see some of the changes
Overall: A well deserved 8.
Hope to see more in the future.
Author's Response:
Hmm, I'm surprised the sound didn't get a higher score what with all the silly VA I had added into it. Thanks for the kind review and great score. I hope all the others who see this are as kind as you. ^_^
Luv,
Chrissy.

Usually I'm skeptical on kitty krew flashes, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The intro was great, animation smooth, music and tweening nicely done. The game I thought was very funny and kinda addicting. I really hope this one gets front page so it'll show people not all flashes are typical.
Good job guys.
5/5
Author's Response:
Thanks, I wish it would get front page too. But I doubt it, I've wanted to get on frontpage sooo bad since a started flash 9 months ago.
