Last EDIT: Thx guys for all the input, and to everyone who has pmd me, I havent' forgotten your requests, computer been shitty lately. The project has been turned and graded, and 83 for the total project, and 92 on the presentation. So all I was looking for a C, and got more than that. :) Cheers, graduation this saturday, expect another post then.

EDIT: I should of been more specific on this site. For a project, the teacher came up with a problem that we had to solve. Problem was that the school wanted a way that teachers could independently save their citations for published journals, articles and books that they done, and that it is all located in one place that the public could easily view and not on 100 or so different websites.

Also, by admin privileges, I don't mean having access to the database lol, I mean use the menu that will come up that they can add new members, as well add new citations.

A little short notice, but for my senior project, we had to create a website in ASP 2.0 using Visual Web Developer with a mysql as a database.

I need people to test out the site and report any of the following:

1. Errors that pop when browsing pages
2. The design of the search page and visually as ok to view the way it is setup.
3. Report any borken links/pictures that are happening.

Also, I'm need someone (trust worthy) who I can give admin privileges to test out the admin tools to ensure all the validations work, and no errors are gotten when data input is used.

The website is here: http://asp2.gcsu.edu/stud/teamtl/defau lt.aspx

I have to present tomorrow or thursday, depending on what draw I pull out. Feed is much appreaciated.

Side notes: NO I couldn't use php, had to ve asp.net. NO appearance isn't much a factor in my grade, functionality is what counts most. Also, YES we could of used CSS, but I do not know how to import them in visual web developer and nor do I have time to do that and re create the interface.

I guess I'm too young for this.

Apr. 21, 2008 | 2:27 PM kidray76 responds:

There isn't an age limit. Just browse through the pages and click drop down boxes. Your not actually doing the programming.

It's like the redesign of newgrounds, navigate, use, and report problems.

Ok, this is going to be last of these comments. Anymore will result in the ban. Please, go spam your own page up.

Ok...I'm a "web designer" so here is what i think (first real post i think :)

GLITCH----Only real glitch I see is that "Last Name drop down box" doesn't work. It might not have enough for it yet though. Also, on the "About us" page...the hr (horizontal rule) goes between the footer.

NAVIGATION----Navigation needs to be consistent through out the pages...easiest way to do that is with CSS (cascading style sheet).

ANNOYANCE----Only real annoying thing is not having the website centered...i'm lazy and dont want to turn my head :)...easiest way is to put a <center> tag right after and right before the body tags.

by visual web developer...do you mean like dream weaver or microsoft front page?...if so...just make it split code and put in the code yourself

Hope this helps some...Good luck on your website

Glitch:
Not sure whats going on there, it appears to be working for me, i'll test on another computer. About us lol, didn't notice that, that is one quick change, not gonna take long. Glad you caught that :0

Navigation: Yeah, I wish I knew how to use CSS, and I had enough to use a template, but leanring the ASP functions took the most time, and are the most important. So that is why navigation is really off, especially so for the search page. I just created a layer, and cut a paste into that layer. It was bitch doing that and trying to avoid the sql data sources.

Annoyance: Hmmm, i'll try that.

I use visual web developer 2005. The language VB (yes, i know, but I don't know C sharp :P). It was required and no choice. If I could , I would of gone with php, but again, required to use asp.

Thx for your input, tonight I'm going to make the changes and put it on the server.

I checked the site, and nothing seems wrong with it, only on the front page. The picture there cuts some words, you should see it.

Apr. 22, 2008 | 10:35 PM kidray76 responds:

The centering is just off for that page, and I'm just not arsed enough to fix. i've presented it today, turned in all documentation and files.

I could changed it by friday, but really dont' care now. Just soo ready to finish school :P

I might go back and do it, I don't know. Thx for your input.

The text in the center and bottom of the page is too big for it's designated area.

The image you used should be of a higher quality. The stretched image makes the page seem a bit...well...bad.

The text for the navigation menu should be evenly spaced. You can even use images rather than text to get a better menu.

Hope I helped somehow.

May. 4, 2008 | 8:10 PM kidray76 responds:

Didn't see this post, yeah man, few things are visually awful. However, project is done and got an 83 on it and a 92 on the presentation, so good enough for me :)
